Over 75.9999999% people on Newgrounds are retards.
Many are fanboys.
Man are just fat 12 year olds who sit in front of their PCs for no reasons.
I'd say fuck them and move on with your life. If you want something worth your talent try Kongergate. (Or whatever that site is called.)

Well, every site has cynical people, but you are right. I guarantee you that if the first cutscene was action packed from the get go and there were explosions everywhere, people would like it. People don't play the games here longer than a couple of minutes before making a verdict.

i know i already commented but quick question have u spread the game to other website? if u haven't u should cause people on newgrounds....... well.......yeah...... odds are some are judgmental pricks who cut people down to feel good about themselves so your score might not be an accurate representation of the games potential.
any way best of luck in whatever u do, life is about experiencing things so what ever u do is your choice :)
I don't see much credibility in some of the negative reviews of your game, but that's just me. To be quite honest I can't help but feel disappointed that someone who works as hard as you do is giving up so quickly on this. Especially if the score I see isn't low at all.
Regardless, it is your decision. I hope you find fortune in whatever other things you may pursue in the future, or perhaps be able to make use of your experience with this flash game somehow, someday. Good luck with the Aikido thing too.
Yeah, well I decided not to make any more games, but to instead spend time and get into animation. I will definitely not quit Newgrounds, but games and such are out of the question for now.
I enjoyed the first few parts, but stopped because of lack of time and forgot to log in first. I enjoyed the game! You have potential, the game has potential. As to game critics: Newgrounds has been receiving a lot more of people who don't truly critic games - so don't let it get you too badly. A lot of other people have been complaining about it too.
Maybe come back into Flash scenes a while later. From what you wrote up there, you sure sound like you need a bit of a cooldown. Enjoy learning Aikido!
On a side note: I came here via JayIsGames.com. They featured your game in the weekend list, and I was curious so I came over to play it. So, really, you're getting rep from outside Newgrounds!

How do you get good at something? You fuck it up and mess it up and learn from it. The fact that you started something so young with little experience, and it didn't turn out that great is no surprise. It's expected.

You're right, but the crudeness wasn't a necessary. I'm also not quitting flash, I'm quitting making games though. In fact, I might be in the Many Kirbies Collab coming out in October.
i just started actually playing your game today and was pretty surprised to see this. this is the funniest fucking thing i've read in a very long time. hey if you want, you can give me the .fla and i can go over artwork so it doesn't look retarded.
Yeah, the problem is that unless you have more than 5 gigabytes of ram, you won't be able to create the flash movie. The FLA is 300mb, but if you do have enough ram and your processer is over 2.2GHz, I'd be glad to send it to you.
I was thinking of passing the sequel over to another flash developer and maybe doing just a bit of art for it. I don't want to code it or do any cutscene work or anything, but I certainly know that there is a TON of demand for a sequel as of now.
my computer is a beast, send it over. i'm serious about it since it'd be easy since every thing is already in place, plus it'd be cool to see how it works.
as for the sequel you can just re-use the code, no one cares the just want to spend time playing flash games, it really doesn't matter which one.
Only problem is it would be near impossible to re-do every cutscene, but doing just the levels would be awesome.
For a sequel, I liked what I had basically, except I want:
-Almost no cutscenes
-Re-Design of Moovlin with joints.
-Wall Jumping
-Better Camera to let you see further
-Higher framerate
-No spin attack, something else instead.
Other than that, improved level design and graphics would probably bring a way higher rated game.

sounds good, it won't be my #1 priority until i finish something i already started on. probably say late 2010. also i'd be getting rid of the cutscenes in this version because nobody wants to watch them.
if it all works out, i'd be up for a sequel, but that would pretty far off from now.
That might take a bit of coding on my behalf.
i know a good amount of actionscript, i'll give you as little extra work as possible
I actually thought it was really good. AND, you got a Daily 5th. Most newgrounders don't get a daily. Just because some people didn't like it doesn't mean you should quit.
