I actually liked Moovlin PC. It's a shame it has a low score. Yes it can use some improvements but it doesn't deserve a 0.

Look, it wasn't a failure nor was it a success. It was an adventure for me into the world of coding and flash, and that's that. It is there for the people who like it, but for the people who don't, it's a hinder. The reviews were very unjust and not constructive for the most part which leads me to believe that Flash just isn't my thing.

You are pathetic.
Its hilarious how EASILY you gave up.
Considering that you managed to pull in an award wining voice actor and underdog, get a 3.98 as a score, create a game with an awesome opening movie, create an excellently shot tutorial with some not have bad programming and a decent art style and you give up on success? This was a good score for you, and its amazing how sad you can act when the difference from the last creation was only a matter .20 points? you know most people can barely pull together all this greatness by them selfs but you DID!!! So grab your balls and keep trying.

It's not giving up. It's just not my thing. Making games isn't appealing as it is very time consuming. Look, it's an experience. Just like taking guitar lessons, or learning how to drive. I'll have the knowledge forever and I am fine with just that.

Duude. Don't try Aikido. :D

Have any suggestion for another martial art? Aikido looks cool.

Moovlin PC is great. It would be a great loss to see you leave over this. Game making can most definitely be your thing. Certain things, like the art, could have been better, but for the most part it was very good. Usually, I would be like, "Leave then, Newgrounds won't miss you." But in this case, I can see your frustration. I feel like you can do some good if you keep on it.

I might get into animating some more or just plain art, but for now and for a while, I'll be out of creating flash games.

Hey, come on man, don't give up.

Like you said, it wasn't a failure. Just keep at it. :)

It's not enjoyable for me though to spend so much time on a game. And yes, I could make short little games, but that isn't really my type of thing, as I like to tell a story in my games and not just make a toy.

And loss for words, I'm not even a good storyteller, as proven several times in Moovlin PC.

I agree with poised, I left a lot out of my review, the game did have a load of pros but I just failed to list them, sorry if I sounded like a dick in my review. The game definitely does not deserve a 0, 2 years is just too long to spend on something to get a bunch of 0's. Good luck with whatever you do next and you are also right, I'll never accomplish anything like that in my lifetime :P

It is alright. Not everybody can enjoy something, but I expected people to at least play through half of it to see it improve, and if it didn't have an addictive hook to the point where people only played one level or less, well, that's just a misstep on my behalf.

Sad...

Life.

You may not be the best programmer, or the best graphics designer, or even the best storyboarder, but you muscled through two grueling years of game production. You're reliable. You come through. There are guys I've worked with that, although extremely talented, just can't pull through. Plazma1 and FlashChickBoom are among them. If you quit Flash design then I've lost a reliable teammate.

Sorry Kwing. Hopefully we can still be friends though, you are a great person to work with and I am glad we finally rolled out Moovlin PC.

Noooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would love to see a sequel to Moovlin PC.. keep trying! It was so epic my left testicle fell out of my ear! I see a game for what it truly is, AND YOURS HAD POTENTIAL! Keep trying, don't quit! Do you think BoM Toons first flash got 10 after 10? No! You did have a LOT of 10s and 5s, but others didn't like it, but me and many others LOVED it! Practice on better art! Make a new engine! Practice! I thought your game was so promising it could end up on a console someday.

Don't quit! Your skills CAN be in flash design! Just PRACTICE more!

There is a load of potential in you, and a possible career.

DON'T THROW THAT POTENTIAL AWAY!

Thanks.

But game design is just a hobby for me. I never really expected to go into the career at all, I am more interested in law in a matter of fact.

I am sorry. My voting pow is small but I was hoping this get big.hope it matters but I loved this game.

Thanks.

way to piss on my robot day parade with your self pity banter.

Sorry. Also, I did submit a new file without all that self pity crap, you should probably use it.

wow, you suck.

I love you too.

meh well thats cool a sequal would have been too much any ways. but you might want to keap this as a hobby instead of a fun but yet big project... just thought i'd say that :/

Yeah, I'll see. But don't expect anything from me for at least another 7 or 8 months, guaranteed.

Do you really think that Tom Fulp sponsored you because he thought you were making a blockbuster game? He sponsored you because he saw someone with ambition. It takes time and practice to be good at anything, and the sooner the start the sooner you will become a master.

One nice thing about Newgrounds is that it lets you see how artists grow over time. I challenge you to go the the pages of your favorite artists and look at the first flash they submitted to this site. Compare it to what they make now. Do you think that they would be as talented as they are if they gave up at the beginning?

I'd suggest taking a break from game design since you seem burnt from your first project, but I wouldn't suggest giving up completely. In the past two years, you have learned lessons that most people do not learn until college.

I once thought that one day I would find my calling; a job that I find easy and enjoyable that I could spend the rest of my life doing. However, everywhere I looked I always soon found people either more talented than me or more experienced than me. Now I wish that I had started actually doing something back then instead of just hoping. I wish that my younger self had the dedication you possess right now.

Also, a heads up: There is no such thing as constructive criticism. You can try to sugar coat it as much as you want, but criticism still boils down to finding the faults in someone else's hard work. No matter how good you get, there will be those who hate your work for the sole reason that they like different things than you. The only person who needs to be happy with your creation is you.

Yeah, I will see. You're right about a lot of things, it is experience. It's just that I probably shouldn't have started such a big thing for my first real project and stuck with something small.

Thank you though. All these posts make me feel a bit better.

Just out of curiosity, how old are you?

I liked the game by the way.

16.

Funny how many people misunderstand this post.

I get what you're saying, but I don't think you're giving this a fair chance. You could at least try again before dismissing this as a "failed" endeavor.

Unless the whole process was just a living hell for you, in which case you probably shouldn't have spent so much time on something you knew you would drop some day.

I kinda liked the game, anyway...

I didn't see it as a failed endeavor at all. Just (as a personal opinion) I find that I want to try other things. Again, I might try animating more or working with sound, or whatever, but for now, this plain out game design isn't what I want.

And it is nowhere near a failure. I was sponsored, I got to add a lot of medals for people to play for, and there is a small base out there that really, really likes this game.

it's up to you whether you stay or not but i have to say the game was great and if u spent 2 years to make a game then obviously u like flash a little bit, i recommend u just take a break and finish school then try again, also u might just be stressed at the moment right now and not in the right mindset.

regardless of what happens u are great programmer in the eyes of me and of many :)

Thank you, and I hope people enjoy the game overall. There is quite a bit to do in it.

lol

And since I'm finished with games... it's time for some locks.

Beh.Bullshit.
Frankly, you shouldn'y pay much attention to most of Newground's reviews..they're either guys who rate 10/10 on every single flash, or idiots who think they're hip just because they dismiss everything as "boring and unoriginal" and give excessively low ratings...you should only pay attention to constructive reviews..although I agree that 2 years is way too much for a game, you definitely made a good effort (pf, I can't even count the times that I decided that I wanted to learn how to program but then changed my mind).
Whatever, it's your decision.

Yeah, exactly. It's my decision. I tried, it's not something I really want to get into anymore, but at least I tried. And that is what counts.
